One Horse Open Sleigh DSP Hello Card

For this week’s Global Design Project I created a lovely card using the recently retired Online Exclusive One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper. I love this Designer Series Paper pack and will miss it when I use up my stash. I used the fabulous Delightful Doily Hybrid embossing folder & dies, the Scalloped Contours dies, and the Stylish Shapes dies. I also added the new Iridescent Foil Gems. These gems are already a new January-April 2024 Mini Catalog favorite.

Start with the Gray Granite cardstock card base. Cut two One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper panels. Glue the panels together and then glue the panels to the card base. Die cut a Vellum cardstock scalloped rectangle with the Scalloped Contours dies. Add Stampin’ Seal to the center of the scalloped rectangle and add it to the card front.

Die cut an One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper doily with the Delightful Doily dies, then cut the doily in half, and then dry emboss the half of the doily in the Delightful Doily Hybrid embossing folder. Die cut a One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper stitched label with the Stylish Shapes dies. Die cut out a One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper fox with the shape die from the Delightful Doily dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Garden Meadow stamp set on the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper (the same piece that had the fox) in Poppy Parade ink.

Build the front paper label. Start by adding Stampin’ Seal to the back of the stitched label and add the half die cut & embossed doily behind it. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the fox on the left side of the stitched label and use glue dots to tuck the left corner under the fox overlapping the stitched label. Wrap the label with the Linen Thread twice and tie in a bow on the left side. Add the built label to the card front slightly on the left side of the scalloped rectangle. Add Iridescent Foil Gems to the label and card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Garden Meadow stamp set in Poppy Parade ink and add an One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper strip to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
