Wednesday, January 3rd is the last day to order from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. One of the retiring stamp sets that has made my keeper shelf is the Whale Watching stamp set. I CASED the catalog card on page 60 of the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog to create this card with the retiring Cheery Patterns Embossing Folders and the Annual Catalog Waves dies.

Start with a Boho Blue cardstock card base. Cut a Boho Blue cardstock panel and two Basic White cardstock panels. Die cut a large whole in the Boho Blue cardstock panel and nested smaller whole in one Basic White cardstock panel with the Countryside Corners dies. Dry emboss the Boho Blue cardstock panel with the wave looking embossing folder from the Cheery Patterns Embossing Folders. Die cut a Boho Blue cardstock wave and a Basic White cardstock wave layer with the Wave dies. Use glue to layer the waves together.
Stamp the scene from the Whale Watching stamp set in Memento Black ink on the second Basic White cardstock panel. Use Small Blending Brushes to add color to the stamped scene. Stamp the large whale from the Whale Watching stamp set in Memento Black. Color the waves under the whale image with Stampin’ Blends, add Wink of Stella for sparkle, and then fussy cut out the whale image with paper snips.
Then layer the Basic White cardstock scene on bottom, then the Basic White cardstock layer with the smaller whole, then the fussy cut whale, then the die cut waves (also with a Stampin’ Dimensional), and finally the embossed Boho Blue cardstock panel with the large whole with glue and then glue the built panel layers on the card base. Die cut a pair of Basic Black cardstock birds with the Waves dies and use glue to add them to the card front.
Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration 2024 Heartfelt Hellos stamp set in Memento Black ink. Stamp the whale in Memento Black ink on the right hand side, stamp the clouds at the top left & waves under the whale in Boho Blue ink from the Whale Watching stamp set. Add an embossed Boho Blue cardstock strip to inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
