Kylie’s Demonstrator Training May 2020 Blog Hop with Rococo Rose & Seaside Spray Poppies Cards

Hi! Welcome to Christy’s Stamping Spot. I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Arizona, USA. Today, I’m excited to be taking part in Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.

I adore the Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray 2019-2021 In Colors and with the Poppies Moments dies they pair perfectly together. I made two similar cards that showcase these colors.

Start with a Rococo Rose cs or Seaside Spray cs card base. Stamp the large flower & the large texture image from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Versamark ink on the front of the card base front.

Cut or tear the Vellum cs panel. Dry emboss the cut Vellum panel with the Subtle 3D embossing folder (Seaside Spray cs card base) and the torn Vellum cs panel with the Scripty 3D embossing folder (Rococo Rose cs card base). I used snail to attach the embossed Vellum cs panels to the card front but I found that the Snail showed through – so I would suggest using a sponge to add a thin layer of glue (made a small puddle of glue on a acrylic block) to the back of the Vellum cs panels to attach them.

Die cut out Rococo Rose cs & Seaside Spray cs large & small flowers (base, overlay, & center) with the Poppy Moments dies. Stamp the small texture image on the flower bases with Veramark. Use glue to build the poppies.

Stamp the sentiment (twice) from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Die cut out the sentiments with Stitched So Softly dies. For the Seaside Spray card cut a small piece of the Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen ribbon and attach it with Tear & Tape across the embossed Vellum cs and card front.

Add the small built flower to the card front overlapping the vellum with glue (also overlapping the ribbon and card front for the Seaside Spray card). Add the large built flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals slightly overlapping the small flower. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panel to the card front – tucked under the large flower and overlapping the small flower for the Seaside Spray card – overlapping both the flowers & the embossed Vellum cs & card front for the Rococo Rose card. Add In Color Faceted Dots to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside panel. I also stamped the the flower & texture from the Painted Poppies stamp set in either Rococo Rose ink or Seaside Spray ink to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
