Forever Love Thoughtful Expressions Card

For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge I used the gorgeous Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper and the beautiful Thoughtful Expressions bundle to create my card.

Start with a Thick Very Vanilla cardstock card base. Cut a Pretty Peacock cardstock panel, a Distressed Gold Specialty paper panel, and a Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the Pretty Peacock cardstock panel to the card base. Glue the Distressed Gold Specialty paper panel slightly askew on the card front. Then glue the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper panel lined up with the Pretty Peacock cardstock panel overlapping the Distressed Gold Specialty paper panel on the card front.

Die cut a Very Vanilla cardstock scalloped rectangle with the Scalloped Contours dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink across the bottom of the scalloped rectangle. Glue the stamped rectangle to the card front centered on the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Die cut a Distressed Gold Specialty paper banner with the Nested Essentials dies and one large flower & the three little flowers with the Thoughtful Expressions dies. Die cut Pretty Peacock cardstock leaves with the Thoughtful Expressions dies. Add the banner to the top right side even with the Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper. Use glue dots to add the leaves and large flower to the card front above the sentiment and to the right of the banner. Add a small flower to the center of the large flower with a glue dot.

Stamp the hummingbird from the Thoughtful Expressions stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut the hummingbird out with the Thoughtful Expressions dies. Use a gold metallic marker (Kelly Creates Metallic Jewel small brush pen that I found at Tuesday Morning) to add gold to the hummingbird. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hummingbird to the scalloped rectangle to the right of the flower & sentiment. Add Wink of Stella to the hummingbird for sparkle and add a Pretty Peacock Foiled Gem the center of the flower.

Add a Very Vanilla cardstock inside panel for added stability and to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Notes of Nature stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink, add a small flower with a glue dot, and add a strip of Forever Love Specialty Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Pretty Peacock cs panel – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.

Forever Love Specialty DSP panel – 3″ x 4 1/2″ plus two 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
Very Vanilla cs scalloped rectangle – die cut with the Scalloped Contours dies.
Distressed Gold Specialty paper banner – die cut with the Nested Essentials dies.
Pretty Peacock cs leaves – die cut with the Thoughtful Expressions dies.
Distressed Gold Specialty paper flowers – one large and three small flowers die cut with the Thoughtful Expressions dies.
Very Vanilla cs hummingbird – die cut with the Thoughtful Expressions dies.
