Inspirations In Ink: Painted Lavender Bundle Blog Hop Card

Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For this month’s blog hop and February’s PDF Tutorial we are focusing on the January-April 2024 Mini Catalog Perennial Lavender Suite. I paired the Painted Lavender bundle with the gorgeous Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper and the Perennial Postage bundle. I also added some butterflies and used a blending brush to add color to a large Paper Butterfly Accent to create this card.

Start with a Crumb Cake cardstock card base. Cut a Highland Heather cardstock panel, dry emboss with the hashmark embossing folder from the Basic 3D Embossing Folders, and glue the embossed panel to the card base. Die cut a Basic White cs panel and a smaller Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper panel with the Perennial Postage dies and then glue them together. Wrap the panels with the Natural Wavy Trim using Tear & Tape to secure the ends to the back of the panels. Use glue to attach the wrapped panels to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Perennial Postal stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Basic White cardstock and then die cut it out with the Thoughtful Expressions dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment label to the right side card front overlapping the wrapped Trim. Use a small blending brush to Highland Heather ink to a large Paper Butterfly Accent and use the Early Espresso Stampin’ Write Marker to color the butterfly body. Add Wink of stella to the colored butterfly for sparkle. Use glue to add the butterfly to the card front overlapping the sentiment label.

Stamp the butterflies from the Painted Lavender stamp set in Highland Heather ink on Basic White cardstock and die cut them out with the Painted Lavender dies. Use glue dots to add them to the card front and sentiment label. Tie a bow with the Natural Wavy Trim and use glue dots to add it to the card front on the left side of the sentiment label overlapping the wrapped Trim. Add Purple Fine Shimmer Gems to the sentiment label for extra sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Perennial Postage stamp set in Early Espresso ink, stamp set large butterfly stamp(mask off the small butterfly) from the Painted Lavender stamp set in Highland Heather ink, and add a strip of Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme.

  1. Beautiful card, Christy. I love this DSP and the butterflies so much. Enjoy your day!

  2. Christy, you card is so pretty. Combing the natural tones with the purple tones, makes the butterfly really stand out.
