Vintage Rings of Love DSP Welcome Card

For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge I created a lovely vintage card using the Sale-A-Bration Rings of Love Designer Series Paper and the newly added Sale-A-Bration choice the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog Timber 3D embossing folder.

Start with a Crumb Cake cardstock (cs) card base. Cut a Petal Pink cs panel and a Thick Basic White cs panel. Dry emboss the Petal Pink cs panel with the Timber 3D embossing folder and use paper snips to distress the edges. Give the Thick Basic White cs panel a Crumb Cake ink & Soft Suede ink water color wash with the Water Painters. After the wash is dry, dry emboss the colored Thick Basic White cs panel with the Tree Rings Hybrid 3d embossing folder, and then use paper snips to distress the edges. Glue the distressed embossed Petal Pink cs panel to the card base slightly off center.

Die cut a Soft Suede cs tag and hole reinforcers with Tailor Made Tags dies. Dry emboss the tag with the Leaf Fall 3d embossing folder. Glue the hole reinforcers to the tag and then thread Linen Thread through the tag. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the embossed tag to the distressed embossed & colored Basic White cs panel at a left to right angle. Die cut stitched Rings of Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. Punch a Petal Pink cs sprig and two Vellum cs leaf sprigs with the Bough Punch. Cut a small piece of the Petal Pink Soft Polyester ribbon and use the Stampin’ Seal Plus to add the ribbon to the back of the DSP stitched circle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals & glue dots to add the DSP stitched circle to the distressed embossed & colored Basic White cs panel and overlapping the embossed tag. Use glue to tuck the punched Petal Pink cs sprig and Vellum cs leaf sprigs to the DSP stitched circle above the ribbon overlapping the embossed tag.

Stamp the sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Thick Basic White. Use paper snips to closely fussy cut out the sentiment and then distress the edges. Add a light Crumb Cake ink watercolor wash to the sentiment panel with Water Painters. When completely dry add the sentiment panel to the distressed embossed & colored Basic White cs panel overlapping the bottom of the DSP stitched circle. Add Wink of Stella to the house on the DSP for sparkle and Solid Faceted Gems to the panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built distressed embossed & colored Basic White cs panel to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Add a DSP strip, a fussy cut DSP house, and stamp the sentiment from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Early Espresso ink to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Think Basic White cs sentiment panel – fussy cut with paper snips.
Vellum cs leaf sprigs – 2 punched with the Bough Punch.
Petal Pink cs sprig – punched Bough punch.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
