Trucking Along One Horse Open Sleigh DSP Card

For this week’s Global Design Project challenge we are CASEing the Designer Susan Wong’s lovely project. I used my new Online Exclusive Trucking Along bundle with the beautiful One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper to create my card.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Misty Moonlight cardstock card base. Cut a Boho Blue cardstock panel and Basic White cardstock panel. Dry emboss the Basic White cardstock panel with the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Basic White cardstock panel to the Boho Blue cardstock panel. Wrap the panels with Basic White Herringbone ribbon, Boho Blue Textured ribbon, and Linen Thread using Tear & Tape to secure the their ends on the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper stitched circle and a Basic White cardstock stitched circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. Glue the Designer Series Paper stitched circle to the Basic White cardstock circle for added strength. Stamp the truck outline & the truck inside from the Trucking Along stamp set in full (the outline) and 2nd generation (stamped off) Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the truck’s tires with the Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend. Punch out the stamped truck with the Trucking Along Builder punch.

Using the punched truck as a guide, stamp the flowers from the Trucking Along stamp set in Memento Black ink on the One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper stitched circle. Color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower centers for sparkle. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the punched truck to the stitched circle. Use more Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built stitched circles to the card front slightly to the left overlapping the wrapped ribbon.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched tag and a Misty Moonlight cardstock tag enforcer with the Tailor Made Tags dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Gorgeously Made stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink on the stitched tag and the flowers from the Trucking Along stamp set in Memento Black ink on the bottom of the stitched tag. Color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flowers for sparkle. Use glue to add the Misty Moonlight cardstock tag enforcer to the top of the stitched tag. Thread the Linen Thread through the enforcer and tie a knot. Tie a double bow with the Linen Thread and use glue dots to add it to the top of the stitched tag on the tied Linen Thread. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stitched tag to the card front on the right side of the stitched circles overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add 2023-2025 In Color Dots to the truck wheels and the stitched tag.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Series Paper down the right side of the inside panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Gorgeously Made stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink and the flowers from the Trucking Along stamp set on the inside panel. Color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flowers centers for sparkle. Glue the inside panel into the card. I also added a strip of DSP, stamped the sentiment, and the flowers to the back of the card to pull the theme through.
