Thursday’s Double Feature: Love of Leaves Cards

I love the “Distinktive” images and the sentiment fonts of the Love of Leaves stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I used this fabulous stamp set to create my cards for my Thursday’s Double Feature this week. I also used the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper, the coordinating Stitched Leaves dies, and the fun texture Stitched with Whimsy dies to make these Thank You cards. Start with a Blackberry Bliss cs card base. Cut a Basic White cs panel layer and a Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP panel. Add texture to the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP panel with the Stitched with Whimsy dies. Glue the Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP panel & Basic White cs panel to the card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the Love of Leaves stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on 1/2″ wide Basic White cs strip and then use paper snips to cut the sentiment out. Cut a Gold Foil panel and use paper snips to flag one end.

Glue the sentiment to the Gold Foil panel and then use Stampin’ Seal to add a looped piece of Gold Shimmer ribbon on the back. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panels to the top right corner of the card base.

Don’t forget to add the Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the sentiment in Blackberry Bliss ink and added a strip of the Specialty DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Card Measurements –
Blackberry Bliss cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Basic White cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel –
-1/2″ x 1 1/4″ -snipped to size with paper snips.
Gold Foil sentiment layer panel – 3/4″ x 2 7/8″ flagged with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
Gold 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon – 4″

Start with a Blackberry Bliss cs card base. Cut a Very Vanilla cs panel layer, a Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP panel, and glue them to the card base.

Cut a Gold Shimmer Vellum cs panel and add texture by using the Stitched with Whimsy dies. Die cut a Very Vanilla cs stitched leaf with the Stitched Leaves dies. Stamp the matching image from the Love of Leaves stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on the die cut leaf. Use Stampin’ Seal to add Linen Thread to the back of the leaf. Add the leaf (add more Stampin’ Seal if needed) to the Gold Shimmer Vellum panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals (hide them behind the leaf) to add the Gold Shimmer Vellum panel to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Love of Leaves stamp set in Blackberry Bliss ink on Very Vanilla cs. Use your paper snips to snip the sentiment apart and then add the pieces to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Don’t forget to add the Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I also added a strip of the Specialty DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Blackberry Bliss cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Very Vanilla cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Blackberry Beauty Specialty DSP – 5 1/4″ x 4″ and two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Embossed Gold Shimmer Vellum cs panel – 4″ x 3″.
Very Vanilla cs leaf – die cut with the stitched dies.
Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel – snipped apart with paper snips.
Very Vanilla cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
