This Birthday Piggy Country Floral Lane DSP Card

For this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge I created a fun Birthday card with the This Birthday Piggy stamp set and the new January-April 2023 Mini Catalog Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper. I also used the now on the Clearance Rack Birthday Piggy dies and the still available January-April 2023 Mini Catalog Framed Florets dies.

Start with Petal Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Mint Macaron cardstock and a Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper panel. Glue the panels together and to the card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel and a Mint Macaron cardstock panel. Die cut the heart oval from the Framed Florets dies into the Mint Macaron cardstock and punch the corners with the Very Best Trio punch. Glue the die cut & punched Mint Macaron cardstock panel to the Basic White cardstock and then glue them to the card front.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock oval with the Framed Florets dies. Stamp the pig in Memento Black ink on the oval and color with Stampin’ Blends. Die cut Mint Macaron cardstock & Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pennants with the Playful Piggy dies. Stamp the balloon on the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper & the cake on Basic White cardstock from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker and fussy cut out with paper snips. Color the cake with Stampin’ Blends. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the balloon over the stamped balloon and the cake over the stamped cake. Stamp the sentiment from the This Birthday Piggy stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock fussy cut and both ends flagged with paper snips. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment to the top of the oval. Use glue and glue dots to add the Mint Macaron cardstock pennants first and then layer the Country Floral Lane Designer Series Paper pennants on top slightly off to the left so the Mint Macaron cardstock pennants show and slightly overlap the sentiment banner. Add Wink of Stella to the candle flame and pig for sparkle.

Use Stampin’ Seal on the back of the Basic White cardstock oval to loop Linen Thread all around the oval edge. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the oval to the center of the card front. Add Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the card front for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set & Waves of Inspiration stamp set in Memento Black ink and the balloon from This Birthday Piggy stamp set with a Black Stampin’ Write Marker on the inside panel. Add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Basic White cs oval – die cut with the Framed Florets dies.
Mint Macaron cs & Country Floral Lane DSP flag pennants – die cut with the Playful Piggy dies.
Country Floral Lane DSP balloon – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs cake – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment banner – fussy cut and flagged with paper snips.
