Stampin’ Up! Hand-Penned Hooray Card

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This week I paired the fabulous Growing Garden theme challenge for the Global Design Project with the Glimmer Gals Sketch May Challenge that I’d wanted to do but didn’t have a chance until now. I used the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder, Hand- Penned Designer Series Paper, Many Messages Bundle, and a Vellum cs sprig from the Meadow dies to create my card.

The Glimmer Gals Team May Sketch Challenge is from

You can check how I used this awesome bundle on my blog here.

Start with a Fresh Freesia cs card base. Cut a Fresh Freesia cs panel and dry emboss it with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. Cut the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper strips. Create your pattern by using one side on the 1/2″ strip and the other on the 3/4″ strip – showing off both sides of this gorgeous DSP and then wrapping with the Highland Heather Grosgrain ribbon. Glue the 4″ strips wrapped with the Highland Heather Grosgrain ribbon across the bottom- horizontal- (slightly below center) of the embossed panel and then glue the 5 1/4″ strips wrapped with the Highland Heather Grosgrain ribbon – vertically – to the left side of the embossed panel overlapping the other wrapped DSP. Then glue the built embossed panel to the card base.

Die cut a Vellum cs sprig with the Meadow dies. Fussy cut out a flower from the Hand-Penned DSP. Stamp the sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set in Memento Black on Basic White cs using the Stamparatus (check out how I did this here) and die cut out with the Message die.

Use a glue dot to attach the Vellum cs sprig to the back of the fussy cut flowers. Then use Stampin’ Dimensionals on the flowers and glue on the Vellum cs sprig to add them to the card front in the lower left where the wrapped DSP strips cross. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment overlapping the flowers and wrapped DSP strips. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers and Opal Rounds to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment from the All Things Fabulous stamp set in Memento Black ink, a strip of DSP, and a small fussy cut DSP flower to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Hand-Penned Hooray card. You can order the Many Messages bundle, Hand-Penned DSP, the Meadow Dies, and Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder in my Online Store.
