Stampin’ Up! Gnome & Snowflake Splendor Sneak Peek

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I have a fun Stampin’ Up! August-December 2020 Mini Catalog sneak peek for this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge. I combined the super cute Gnomes For The Holidays stamp set, the Winter Snow embossing folder, Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper, Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper, and the lovely Snowflake Splendor DSP to create my card.

Start with a Pacific Point cs card base and dry emboss the front with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. Cut a Whisper White cs panel, dry emboss it first with the Subtle 3D embossing folder, then emboss it with the Winter Snow emboss folder and glue it to the embossed card base front slightly askew. Cut a Snowflake Splendor DSP panel and a Plush Poinsettia Specialty DSP panel. Glue the Snowflake Splendor DSP panel to the embossed Whisper White cs panel and the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper to the DSP both askew.

Stamp the gnome from the Gnome For The Holidays stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Color the gnome with the Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella Brush to his hat for sparkle. Then fussy cut out the gnome with Paper Snips (I cut off his jingle bell). Die cut out two snowflakes from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper with the So Many Snowflakes Dies. Die cut out a Pacific Point cs snowflake with the So Many Snowflakes dies and emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

Glue the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper snowflakes to the bottom right corner of the card front. Glue the embossed Pacific Point cs snowflake to the card front. Add the gnome to the card front overlapping the snowflakes. Stamp the sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Use paper snips to cut out the sentiment and then add sparkle to the panel with Wink of Stella. Cut a Pacific Point cs sentiment banner, dry emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder, and flag the end with paper snips.

Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the Whisper White cs sentiment to the embossed Pacific Point cs banner and use glue dots to add them to the card front. Add Blue Adhesive-Backed Gems to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the sentiment in Memento Black ink, the snowflake from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in Pacific Point ink and add a strip of DSP to the inside and the back of the card to pull the theme through.
