Hues of Happiness DSP Birthday Card

This week’s Global Design Project is to CASE a lovely card from Charlet Mallet. I used the Scalloped Contours dies and fussy cut flowers from the gorgeous Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to create my card. I also heat embossed my card’s sentiment in white and kept the card horizonal like Charlett’s beautiful card.

Start with a Pear Pizzazz cardstock card base. Dry emboss the card front with the Fern 3D embossing folder. Die cut a Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper scalloped panel & a Vellum stitched scalloped rectangle with the Scalloped Contours dies and glue them to the embossed card front.

Fussy cut Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper flowers and leaves with paper snips. Use glue, glue dots, and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the fussy cut flowers & leaves to the bottom left corner and the top right corner of the card front on the scalloped panels. Add Wink of Stella and 2021-2023 Opal Rounds to the flower centers.

Stamp the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Versamark on Pear Pizzazz cardstock. Apply the White embossing powder, tap off the excess powder, and then melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Then fussy cut out the embossed sentiment closely with paper snips. Cut a piece of White 3/4″ Frayed ribbon, fray both ends, and then use glue dots to attach the embossed sentiment to the frayed ribbon. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment & ribbon to the center of the card front overlapping the flowers on both sides.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink and add a strip of Designer Series Paper & fussy cut flowers to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.

Embossed Pear Pizzazz cs card base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.
Hues of Happiness DSP scalloped panel – die cut with the largest die of the Scalloped Contours Dies.
Vellum cs stitched scalloped rectangle – die cut with the 2nd largest Scalloped Contours dies.
Hues of Happiness DSP flowers & leaves – fussy cut with paper snips.
Pear Pizzazz cs sentiment panel – (3/4″ x 2 1/4″) fussy cut with paper snips.
