Embossed Sea Turtle Hello, Irresistible DSP Card

In March Stampin’ Up! is adding a new Online Exclusives section to the Online Store. The gorgeous Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper is one of the products that will be available to order when the new section goes live. I created this card by pairing this upcoming Designer Series Paper with heat embossing the fabulous large turtle from the Sea Turtle stamp set. I used a blending brush to bring out the white embossing powder of the turtle by blending Soft Sea Foam ink with a blending brush.

Start with a Soft Sea Foam cardstock card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel and a Hello, Irresistible Designer Series Paper. Cut a piece of (current Sale-A-Bration choice) White Frayed Ribbon. Tie a knot in the ribbon and then wrap the panels with the knotted ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends to the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Lightly dust a scrap of Basic White cardstock with the Embossing Buddy. Stamp the large turtle image from the Sea Turtles stamp set in Versamark on the dusted Basic White cardstock scrap. Apply the White embossing powder, tap off the excess powder, and then melt the powder with the Heat Tool. When the embossed turtle is completely cooled and dried add Soft Sea Foam ink with a Blending Brush directly over the embossed image. Use a soft tissue to lightly wipe away any extra ink from the white embossing. Then fussy cut out the embossed turtle with paper snips. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the embossed turtle to the card front slightly tucked under the wrapped ribbon.

Stamp the sentiment from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set in Mango Melody ink on a Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut out the sentiment and flag one end. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to add the sentiment banner to the left side of the card front & turtle overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add Loose Frosted Dots to the card front with glue dots.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Fabulous stamp set in Mango Melody ink and the small turtle & splatter from the Sea Turtle stamp set in Soft Sea Foam ink on the inside panel. Glue the stamped inside panel into the card and add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
