Thursday’s Double Feature: Sweet Little Stockings Cards

Merry Christmas!! For this week’s Thursday’s Double Feature I created Sweet Little Stockings cards. I used the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set, the adorable critters in the Sweet Stockings DSP, and the Macramé 3D embossing folder. Start with a Cherry Cobbler cs card base. Cut a Cherry Cobbler cs panel, dry emboss it with the Macramé 3D embossing folder, and glue it to the card base. Die cut a Sweet Stockings DSP scalloped circle with the Layering Circles dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the DSP scalloped circle to the lower right side of the card front.

Fussy cut out a puppy with lights, Corgi in sweater, and the cat in the box from the Sweet Stockings DSP with paper snips. Use glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the Sweet Stockings DSP critters to the DSP scalloped circle.

Cut a Basic White cs sentiment strip. Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Little Stocking stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cs sentiment strip and then cut to size with paper snips. Use the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend to add ink to the edges of the sentiment panel. Then use a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the sentiment panel to the scalloped circle. Add Wink of Stella to the critters for and Champagne Rhinestones to the card front for extra sparkle.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment and the present from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set in Memento Black ink, color the present with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends & the White Stampin’ Chalk Marker, and add a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Card Measurements:
Cherry Cobbler cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Embossed Cherry Cobbler cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Sweet Stockings DSP scalloped circle – (3″) die cut with the Layering Circles dies. plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Sweet Stockings DSP puppy with lights, Corgi in sweater, & cat in a box – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 3/4″ x 1 1/4″ (shortened with paper snips).
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
DSP = Designer Series Paper.

Product List

Start with an Old Olive cs card base. Dry emboss the front panel of the card base with the Macramé 3D embossing folder. Cut a Cherry Cobbler cs panel & a Sweet Stockings DSP panel and glue them to the card front. Die cut an Old Olive cs stitched scalloped rectangle with the Stitched So Sweetly dies, dry emboss it with the Macramé 3D embossing folder, and then glue it to the center of the card front.

Cut a Basic White cs sentiment panel and a Cherry Cobbler cs sentiment layer panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set in Memento Black ink. Glue the stamped Basic White cs sentiment panel to the Cherry Cobbler cs sentiment layer panel and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add them to the card front overlapping the top of the embossed Old Olive cs stitched scalloped rectangle.

Stamp the hat and puppy head from the Sweet Little Stockings stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends. Use glue and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to add the hat to the puppy head and the card front slightly overlapping the sentiment panels. Fussy cut out a stocking & a mouse with present from the Sweet Stockings DSP. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stocking (tuck it under the puppy head) and the mouse to the card front. Use Wink of Stella to add extra sparkle to the mouse, puppy, and stocking. Add Shimmery Crystal Effects to the brim and ball puff on the hat for texture & shine (be sure to let it dry completely). Add Champagne Rhinestones to the card front.

Embossed Old Olive cs – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Cherry Cobbler cs panel – 51/4″ x 4″.
Sweet Stockings DSP panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
Embossed Old Olive cs scalloped stitched rectangle – (2 1/2) die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 3/4″ x 3 3/8″ (cut to size with paper snips).
Cherry Cobbler cs sentiment layer panel – 1″ x 3 1/2″ (cut to size with paper snips).
Basic White cs puppy face & hat – fussy cut with paper snips.
Sweet Stockings DSP mouse with present & stocking – fussy cut with paper ships.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
