Thursday’s Double Feature: Flowing Flowers Cards

Card Measurements and Supply List for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

The new January-June 2022 Mini Catalog goes live on January 4th. One of my favorite new stamp sets is the Flowing Flowers. The gorgeous Distinktive floral images and versatile sentiments makes the Flowing Flowers stamp set a fabulous addition to your keeper shelf. For this week’s Thursday’s Double Feature cards I created my own DSP panels with floral images. I also stamped the sentiments on stitched labels die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. You can watch my Facebook Live replay of these cards on my Facebook page here or on my YouTube channel below.

***I accidently used Magenta Madness cardstock instead of Polished Pink cardstock in my Facebook Live. And the name of the Stamp Set is Flowing Flowers not Flowering Flowers.

Start with a Glorious Grape cardstock or Polished Pink cardstock card base. Cut a Highland Heather cardstock or Basic White cardstock layer panel. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel to create your floral panel. Stamp the large floral image first and then the smaller three flowers floral image from the Flowing Flowers stamp set in either Glorious Grape ink or Polished Pink ink completely covering the Basic White cardstock panel. Be sure to gently add the ink to the stamp instead of lightly pressing the stamp into the ink.

Glue the stamped floral panel to the Highland Heather cs layer panel or Basic White cs layer panel. Use Stampin’ Seal to wrap a piece of either Highland Heather Grosgrain ribbon or the new White Frayed ribbon around the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut a Glorious Grape cs or Polished Pink cs stitched sentiment label layer and a Basic White cs stitched sentiment label with the Stitched So Sweetly dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Flowing Flowers stamp set in either Glorious Grape ink or Polished Pink ink on the Basic White cs stitched sentiment label. Glue the sentiment label to the sentiment label layer and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add them to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon.

Stamp the smaller three flowers floral image from the Flowing Flowers stamp set in either Glorious Grape ink or Polished Pink ink. I used my Blender pen to smooth out the color on the flowers and added Wink of Stella for sparkle. Fussy cut out the flowers and add them to the sentiment label with glue dots and a Stampin’ Dimensional. Add Iridescent Rhinestones Basic Jewels on the sentiment label and card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message.

Stamp the sentiment, the floral image, and a strip of floral stamped Basic White cs to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Thursday’s Double Feature: Flowing Flowers cards.
