Sweet Peas HaPEA Birthday Card

The Annual Catalog Sweet Peas stamp set is an adorable stamp set with fun sentiments! I created this Birthday card using the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder and the Spotlight On Nature dies with the Sweet Peas stamp set.

Start with a Granny Apple Green cardstock card base. Cut a Granny Apple Green cardstock panel and dry emboss the panel with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder. Wrap the embossed panel with White Frayed Grosgrain ribbon using Tear and Tape to secure the ribbons ends on the back of the panel.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock decorative circle with the Spotlight On Nature dies. Add a Granny Apple Green ink to the decorative circle with a small blending brush. Stamp the sentiment from the Sweet Peas stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock and then fussy cut out the sentiment with paper snips. Cut a Granny Apple Green cardstock sentiment layer. Glue the sentiment panel to the sentiment layer. Glue the sentiment panels to the colored decorative circle.

Stamp the pea images (three peas in a pod, two peas in a pod, and the pea with the party hat three times) from the Sweet Peas stamp set on Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut out the images (separating the two peas in a pod and one hat from one pea). Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the peas to the decorative circle on the left and under the sentiment. Add Wink of Stella to the peas for sparkle. Add the built decorative circle to the center of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Tie a bow with the White Frayed Grosgrain ribbon and use glue dots to add it to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon on the left side of the decorative circle. Add Melon Mambo Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins to the sentiment and decorative circle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of embossed Granny Apple Green cardstock to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. I also added a fussy cut & colored pea on the bottom right of the inside panel overlapping the embossed strip.

Basic White cs peas – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 1″ x 1 3/5″ fussy cut with paper snips.
Granny Apple Green cs sentiment panel layer – 1 1/4″ x 1 1/2″.
