Welcome and Thank you for visiting Christy’s Stamping Spot! I’m Christy, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Southern Arizona, USA. I’m excited to be taking part in the Inspirations in Ink Blog Hop with this fabulous group of Demonstrators!
For this month’s blog hop and October’s PDF Tutorial we’re creating cards from a sketch layout. The fun of a sketch layout is that so many themes & stamp sets can shine. To create my sketch layout blog hop card I fussy cut out a super cute reindeer & snowdeer from the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper and used the So Swirly Embossing Folder, and the large tag die & sentiment from the Greetings Of The Season bundle.
Start with an Old Olive cardstock cards base. Cut a Basic White cardstock panel, dry emboss the panel with the So Swirly Embossing Folder, and then glue the embossed panel to the card base. Die cut a Pool Party large stitched tag with the Greetings of the Season dies. Die cut an Old Olive cardstock stitched circle with the Stylish Shapes dies. Glue the stitched circle to the right side of the stitched tag. Fussy cut out the reindeer & snowdeer scene from the Reindeer Days Designer Series Paper. Glue the Designer Series Paper scene to the bottom of the stitched tag slightly overlapping the stitched circle (& add the fussy cut presents & critter from the scene with a Stampin’ Dimensional). Add Wink of Stella to the Designer Series Paper scene for sparkle.
Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched banner with the Stylish Shapes dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Friends stamp set in Memento Black ink on the stitched banner. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment banner across the stitched tag above the Designer Series Paper scene and stitched circle. Add White Frayed Grosgrain ribbon through the hole at the top of the stitched tag and tie with a knot a piece of Pool Party Pom Pom ribbon around the White Frayed Grosgrain.
Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built stitched tag to the card front. Add Drusy Adhesive-Backed embellishments to the stitched tag and card front.
Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Greetings Of The Season stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside panel. Add a strip of Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
