Sunshine Vibes & Inspiration Squad Global Design Project Sketch Challenge Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the printable PDF with the clickable (Print Recipe) link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge #GDP502 card, I created a fun rainbow dragon card using the Sunshine Vibes bundle and the dragon from the Inspiration Squad stamp set. I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, Azure Afternoon, and Gorgeous Grape (or Dark Highland Heather) to color my rainbow and my dragon, making this card perfect for Pride Month!

Start with a Granny Apple Green cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Black cardstock panel, and glue it to the card base. Die cut a Basic Black cardstock, Real Red cardstock, Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Daffodil Delight cardstock, Shaded Spruce cardstock, Azure Afternoon cardstock, and Gorgeous Grape cardstock rainbows with the Sunshine Vibes dies (the rainbow and the rainbow outline die at the same time). Separate out all the rainbows & their arches. Glue the empty Basic Black cardstock rainbow to the bottom left of the Basic Black cardstock panel on the card front. Use paper snips to separate the top arch of the Real Red cardstock rainbow and then use glue to gently wrap it around the outside of the Basic Black cardstock rainbow. Be sure that the left side of the Real Red cardstock arch is even with the Basic Black cardstock rainbow, leaving the right side slightly short and uneven. Glue in the other cardstock arches into the Basic Black cardstock rainbow.

Stamp the dragon from the Inspiration Squad stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the dragon with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Fussy cut out the dragon with paper snips. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the dragon to the bottom right of the built rainbow so that it covers the uneven Real Red cardstock arch.

Stamp the sentiments from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. I used my paper trimmer to separate the sentiments so they are closely cut. Use glue to add the sentiments down the left side of the card front overlapping the Basic Black cardstock panel & built rainbow. Add Holographic Resin Dots to the card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Cut strips of Real Red cardstock, Pumpkin Pie cardstock, Daffodil Delight cardstock, Shaded Spruce cardstock, Azure Afternoon cardstock, and Gorgeous Grape cardstock and glue them down the right side of the inside panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Tags of Thanks stamp set in Memento Black ink at the bottom left side of the inside panel. Stamp the rays from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set in Memento Black ink above the sentiment on the inside panel and on the back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Sunshine Vibes & Inspiration Squad Global Design Project Sketch Challenge card. You can order the Sunshine Vibes bundle, the Inspiration Squad stamp set, and the Tags of Thanks stamp set in my Online Store.
