In June, I was challenged to CASE a Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive card and make it Red, White, & Blue. I decided to CASE a Darling Dinos card that is featured in the Online Store with the bundle. I liked the card I created but thought I could have made it more 4th of Julyish with a few tweaks even though it still is a birthday card. Friday in the US, we celebrated Independence Day and I shared this card on my Socials.

Start with a Misty Moonlight cardstock card base. Cut a Real Red cardstock panel and a Country Lace Designer Series Paper panel. Dry emboss the Real Red cardstock panel with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder. Glue the panels together. Die cut a Real Red cardstock label and a smaller Basic White cardstock label with the Countryside Corners dies. Dry emboss the Real Red cardstock label with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed Real Red cardstock label in the center of the panels slightly to the right. Wrap the panels with Real Red Faux Linen ribbon (retired) and use Tear & Tape to secure the ends. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut the top & bottom Basic White cardstock egg shell with the Darling Dinos dies. Use the dots image from the Darling Dinos stamp set to stamp spots onto the top & bottom of the egg in 2nd generation (stamped off) Misty Moonlight ink. Stamp the dino from the Darling Dinos stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock, color with Stampin’ Blends, add Wink of Stella, and then either die cut out with the Darling Dinos dies or fussy cut with paper snips. Stamp three balloons from the Darling Dinos stamp set in Memento Black ink, color with Stampin’ Blends, add Wink of Stella, and die cut out with the Darling Dinos dies.

On the Basic White cardstock label stamp the starburst/sparkles image from the Round We Go stamp set in both Real Red ink and Blueberry Bushel ink on the top right corner to look like fireworks. Using the bottom half of the egg as a guide stamp the grass from the Darling Dinos stamp set in full & 2nd generation (stamped off) Misty Moonlight ink on the bottom of the Basic White cardstock label. Use the dino as a guide as to where to stamp the three balloon strings with the string stamp from the Darling Dinos stamp set in 2nd generation (stamped off) Memento Black ink. Add the stamped Basic White cardstock layer to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon and centered on the embossed label. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut to fit) to add the dino to the card front. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut to fit) to add the top and bottom stamped egg shells to the dino. Use glue dots & Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the balloons to the card front so they look attached to the stamped strings.

Stamp the sentiment from the Round We Go stamp set in Real Red ink on Basic White cardstock. Closely fussy cut out the sentiment with paper snips. Cut a Misty Moonlight cardstock sentiment panel layer. Glue the panels together and use a Stampin’ Dimensionals & glue dots to add the sentiment on the left side of the dino overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add Iridescent Faceted Gems to the card front within the stamped fireworks.

Cut a Real Red cardstock inside panel layer and a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Glue the panels together and into the card. Stamp the sentiment from the Darling Dinos stamp set in Real Red ink on the lower right side of the inside panel. Add a Country Lace Designer Series Paper strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
