Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Card

Summer might be over here in Southern Arizona – school started this week – but I couldn’t resist the tropical blooms & pineapple from the Timeless Tropical stamp set to create this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge card and capture a little bit of summer.

Start with a Pale Papaya cs card base. Cut a Just Jade cs panel and a Very Vanilla cs panel. Add the stitched pattern to the Very Vanilla cs panel using the Stitched with Whimsy dies and then stamp the splatter image from the new Gorgeous Leaves stamp set from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog in 1st & 2nd generation (stamped off) Pale Papaya ink. Glue the stamped Very Vanilla cs panel to the Just Jade cs panel and then glue them to the card base.

Die cut out a Cork Specialty pineapple base and a Just Jade cs pineapple top with the In the Tropics dies. Use glue to add the Cork pineapple base to the bottom left of the card front. Use the bone folder to gently curl out the pop out pieces of the Just Jade cs pineapple top and then glue it to the card front above & slightly overlapping the pineapple base.

Stamp the flowers from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cs. Die cut them out with the In the Tropics dies and then color them with the Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to the flower’s centers for sparkle. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the flowers to the card front overlapping the pineapple.

Cut the Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Timeless Tropical stamp set in Early Espresso ink. Use glue dots to attach a folded piece of the Diamond Weave ribbon to the back of the sentiment and then use more glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add it to the card front overlapping the flowers. Add Genial Gems to the card front and flowers.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the small flower from the the Timeless Tropical stamp set and add a strip of Cork Specialty Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
