Stampin’ Up!® Pearlescent Snowflakes Christmas Wishes Card

This week I was able to order some wonderful new holiday product from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog. My favorite perk of being a Stampin’ Up! demo is being able to see and order product early. It’s never too soon to start on Christmas cards! I thought the beautiful Snowflake Wishes stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog and the Pearlescent Specialty Paper would be perfect for this week’s Global Design Project Sketch Challenge and to create me first Christmas Card of the year.

Start with a Pool Party cs card base. Cut a Pearlescent Specialty Paper panel. Stamp the ink blot from the Artistically Inked stamp set several times in 2nd Generation (stamped off) Pool Party ink on the left side of the panel. Stamp a large and a medium snowflake from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set on the blot image with 2nd Generation (stamped off) Pool Party ink. Then stamp a cluster of snowflakes from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set in full strength Pool Party ink. Use your heat tool to dry the ink on the panel so the ink doesn’t smudge. Glue the stamped panel to the card base.

Cut a Pool Party cs sentiment banner. Stamp the sentiment from the Banner Year stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink on the banner and use your paper snips to angle the ends. Cut a piece of Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon (from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack) attach a small strip of Tear & Tape to the bottom edge and then secure it to the bottom third of the card front. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment banner to the card front slightly overlapping the ribbon. Add Opal Rounds to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Snowflakes Wishes stamp set in Coastal Cabana ink and add a stamped Pearlescent Specialty Paper strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Pearlescent Specialty Paper – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Pool Party cs sentiment banner – 1/2″ x 2 3/4″.
Whisper White Faux Linen Ribbon (about 2 5/8″).
cs = cardstock
