Stampin’ Up!® Holly Gnome

Card Measurements, a Supply List , and printable PDF tutorial for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

This week’s Global Design Project features a fabulous card by Charlet Mallett to CASE. I used the super cute gnome from the Gnome of the Holidays stamp set, the Heartwarming Hugs DSP, Christmas Gleaming stamp set, and the Peace & Joy Bundle to create my Holly Gnome card.

Start with a Pear Pizzazz cs card base. Cut a Real Red cs panel & a Heartwarming Hugs DSP panel and glue them to the card base. Cut a Whisper White cs panel and stamp it with the sentiments from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set in Memento Black ink. Glue the stamped Whisper White cs panel across the card front just below center.

Loop Linen Thread and use Mini Glue Dots to form a circle overlapping the right side of the stamped Whisper White cs panel. Stamp the gnome from the Gnome for the Holidays stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Color the gnome with the Stampin’ Blends then add Wink of Stella for sparkle and Shimmery Crystal Effects (be sure to let it completely dry). Fussy cut out the gnome and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the gnome to the card front overlapping the Linen Thread, DSP, & the stamped Whisper White cs panel.

Stamp the holly image from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set in the Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Color the image with the Stampin’ Blends and then add Shimmer Crystal Effects to the berries for texture (make sure the berries dry completely). Cut a piece of Real Red Sheer Ribbon and use Mini Glue Dots to attach it to the back of the fussy cut holly and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the holly/ribbon to the card front overlapping the DSP, lower left of the Linen Thread loop, and the stamped Whisper White cs panel.

Die cut the Joy in Real Red cs and the Joy background layer in Pear Pizzazz with the Joy dies. Glue the Real Red cs Joy to the Pear Pizzazz cs layer and then use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add it to the card front overlapping the gnome and the holly. Stamp the sentiment from the Peace & Joy stamp set in Mossy Meadow ink on Whisper White cs and then fussy cut it out. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment to the card front overlapping the holly and die cut Joy layers.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the sentiment & holly images, and added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
