The Friendly Flamingo bundle from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog is a fabulous bundle with Distinktive images that would be lovely in the colors from this week’s Global Design Project‘s Color Challenge.

Start with a So Saffron cs card base. Cut a Seaside Spray cs panel and a Basic White cs panel. Add a small amount of Seaside Spray ink to the lower left of the Basic White cs panel with a Blending Brush and then dry emboss the panel with Subtle 3D embossing folder. Glue the ink blended embossed Basic White cs panel to the Seaside Spray cs panel and then glue the panels to the card base.
Stamp the flamingo from the Friendly Flamingo stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Also stamp the two flowers (three each) from the Friendly Flamingo stamp set in Memento Black ink (& 2nd generation – stamped off) on Basic White cs. Use the Flamingo dies to die cut out the images. Use the Sahara Sand Stampin’ Write Marker to color the flamingo. Use Stampin’ Blends to color the flowers. Add Wink of Stella to the flamingo’s feathers & eye and to the flowers centers for sparkle. Die cut two Sahara Sand cs palm fronds with the In the Tropics dies. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the Flamingo, fronds, and flowers to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment from the Friendly Flamingo in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs and punch it out the the Classic Label punch. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment label to the card front under the flowers and overlapping the flamingo.
Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel. Stamp the sentiment and flowers from the Friendly Flamingo stamp set in Memento Black ink and color the flowers with the Stampin’ Blends. I also added a strip of Seaside Spray cs on the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
