So Refreshing Sweet Citrus Thank You Kindly Card

For this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge I created a lovely Thank You Kindly lemons, flowers, and pink lemonade card using the So Refreshing bundle, the Sweet Citrus stamp set & Sweet Citrus Hybrid (embossing folder & dies), and the stitched leaves from the Paper Florists dies. I really love this color palette (Pool Party, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, & Daffodil Delight) for this summery card that fits the theme of fruit.

Start with a Bubble Bath cardstock card base. Cut a Lemon Lolly cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Dry emboss the Basic White cardstock panel with the embossing folder from the Sweet Citrus Hybrid (embossing folder & dies). Glue the embossed Basic White cardstock panel slightly askew on the Lemon Lolly cardstock panel. Wrap the panels with Pool Party Grosgrain ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends on the back of the panels. Then glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Stamp the lemons image (one stamp) in Bubble Bath ink & lemon outline image (one stamp) in Daffodil Delight ink from the Sweet Citrus stamp set on a piece of Basic White cardstock. Insert the Sweet Citrus die into the Sweet Citrus Hybrid embossing folder, add & line up the stamped panel, and then emboss & die cut out the lemons at one time by running all three together through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. Stamp the pitcher outline image in Pool Party ink and the pitcher inside image in Bubble Bath from the So Refreshing stamp set on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the pitcher with the So Refreshing dies. Color in the die cut pitcher image with the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. Add Wink of Stella to the lemons’ and the pitcher for sparkle. Die cut three Pool Party cardstock stitched leaves with the Paper Florists dies. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the leaves, lemons, and pitcher to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon on the left side of the card base.

Stamp the sentiment from the So Refreshing bundle in Daffodil Delight ink on Basic White cardstock. Die cut out the sentiment with the stitched banner die from the Stylish Shapes dies. Use glue dots to add the stitched sentiment banner to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon, lemons, and pitcher on the left side of the card front. Die cut Bubble Bath cardstock flowers with the dies Sweet Citrus Hybrid (embossing folder & dies). Use a bone folder to gently curl the petals and build the flowers using glue dots. Use glue dots to add the flowers to the card front and add an Iridescent rhinestone gem to the center of each flower. Add two more Iridescent rhinestone gems to the card front for extra sparkle. Tie a bow in the Pool Party Grosgrain ribbon and use glue dots to add it on the right side of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add an embossed (Sweet Citrus Hybrid) & colored (added Bubble Bath ink with a small blending brush to the inside of the lemons and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blend to the outside of lemon over embossing) strip of Basic White cardstock and stamp the sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set in Daffodil Delight ink to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through.
