Let’s Go Fishing DSP Beside Me Father’s Day Card

Happy Father’s Day! For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge I created a Father’s Day card by flipping the card sketch so it was portrait, used the lovely Beside Me stamp set, the Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper (currently in the DSP 15% off Sale goes through June 30th), and the stitched banners from the Nested Essentials Dies. The lovely fishing image of a dad with his kids from the Beside Me stamp set reminds me of a fishing moment of my own when I was little.

Start with a Boho Blue cardstock card base. Cut the three Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper panels and glue them to the card base (the last two at a slight angle).

Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched rounded rectangle with the Nested Essentials dies. Stamp the fishing dad with kids image from the Beside Me stamp set in Memento Black ink on the stitched rounded rectangle. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends and then add Wink of Stella to the top white space above the dad with kids image for sparkle. Glue the colored Basic White cardstock stitched rounded rectangle to the card front.

Die cut a Basic White cardstock stitched banner and a Boho Blue cardstock stitched banner with the Nested Essentials dies. Stamp the sentiment from the Beside Me stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cardstock stitched banner. Glue the stamped stitched banner to the Boho Blue cardstock stitched banner and then glue them to the card front overlapping the Basic White cardstock stitched rounded rectangle and the Designer Series Paper panels. Add Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front under the stitched banners.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Beside Me stamp set and add a strip of Let’s Go Fishing Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
