Secret Garden Thank You Card

For this week’s #GDP462 Global Design Project sketch challenge I created a Thank You card with the lovely Secret Garden paper & White Die-Cut Word Strips (both previous Close To My Heart (CTMH) product that is available now to everyone in the Online Store) with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder. The CTMH pattern paper was designed for scrapbooking but also makes wonderful cards. The pretty patterns coordinate well with Stampin’ Up! colors but keep in mind that the colors of the paper pack are not Stampin’ Up! (you can find a comparison between Stampin’ Up! colors and CTMH’s here).

Start with a Lost Lagoon cardstock card base. Cut a Petal Pink cardstock panel and a Secret Garden paper panel. Dry emboss the Petal Pink cardstock panel with the Eyelet 3D embossing folder. Glue the embossed panel to the card base flush to the right side of the card base. Glue the Secret Garden paper panel to the card front flush to the right side of the card base.

Fussy cut out two flower bouquets from the Secret Garden paper with paper snips. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers for extra sparkle. Glue one flower to the card front and then add the other fussy cut flower cluster overlapping the first with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut out the sentiment. Use glue to add the sentiment to a White Die-Cut Word Strip with one flagged end. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to add the built sentiment to the lower left of the card front overlapping the fussy cut flowers. Add Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls to the card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Add a strip of Secret Garden paper and stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Lost Lagoon cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Embossed Petal Pink cs panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″.
Secret Garden paper panel – 4 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Secret Garden paper flowers – two fussy cut with paper snips.
White Die cut Word Strip flagged at one end sentiment layer
Basic White cs sentiment banner – (1/4″ x 1 3/4″) fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
