Night Of Flight Slimline Card

For this week’s Global Design Project we are CASEing the beautiful card by Nicole Peschke. I created my Slimline card by mixing the retiring Night of Flight Host stamp set, Gilded Leafing, & Foursquare Decorative Masks with the new Peach Pie In Color & the new Thoughtful Wishes dies.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

Start with a Pecan Pie cardstock slimline card base. Cut a Peach Pie cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Using the Foursquare Decorative Mask and a small blending brush add the design only on the Basic White cardstock ends with Peach Pie ink. Add Peach Pie ink around the Basic White cardstock panel edges with the small blending brush. Add splatter of Peach Pie ink & Calypso Coral ink to the Basic White cs panel with the Stampin’ Blends. Glue the Basic White cardstock panel to the Peach Pie cardstock panel and then glue the panels to the card front.

Die cut two large Pecan Pie cardstock sprigs with the Thoughtful Wishes dies. Use paper snips to cut one sprig apart and then add the glue the sprigs to the card front. Stamp the two different moths from the Host Night of Flight stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends (including the new Peach Pie color). Fussy cut the colored images with paper snips. Use glue to add the moths to the card front overlapping the die cut sprigs. Use glue (let almost dry) and add Gilded Leafing to the moths and within & around the die cut sprigs.

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel and a Pecan Pie cardstock sentiment panel layer. Stamp the sentiment from the Magnolia Mood stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on the Basic White cardstock panel. Use a small blending brush to add Peach Pie ink around the edges of the Basic White cardstock panel. Glue the Basic White cardstock sentiment panel to the Pecan Pie cardstock panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panels to the lower right side of the card front overlapping the moth & sprig. Add the champagne Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems to the sentiment panel and the card front.

Cut a Peach Pie cardstock inside panel layer and a Basic White cardstock panel to write your message. On the Basic White cardstock inside panel add the pattern with Foursquare Decorative Masks with Peach Pie ink & a small blending brush. Add Peach Pie ink to the Basic White cardstock inside panel edges with the small blending brush. Stamp a moth from the Night of Flight stamp set and the sentiment from the Encircled in Nature stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on the inside panel. Color the moth image with Stampin’ Blends. Glue the Basic White cardstock panel to the Peach Pie cardstock panel and then add them inside the card. Stamp the sentiment from the Encircled in Nature stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on the back of the card too as well as add a strip of Basic White cardstock that had added Peach Pie ink to pull the theme through.
