Light The Sky Happy New Year Card

Happy New Year!! I was thrilled with the Light the Sky bundle. It’s the perfect fireworks stamp set and dies for celebratory cards for Fourth of July, Birthdays, and of course New Years. Luckily, this bundle will continue to be available as you can find it after the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog retires in the Online Exclusives section of my Online Store. I used it with another September-December 2023 Mini Catalog product that wont’ be retiring and moved to the Online Exclusives section – the gorgeous Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper and the retiring Glow in the Dark Specialty Paper available only while supplies last or January 3rd.

This is a fun and simple card were the Designer Series Paper & Specialty paper does all the work.

Start with the Night of Navy cardstock card base. Cut a Glow in the Dark Specialty Paper panel and the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper panel. Die cut the larger and smaller firework die from the Light the Sky dies in the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper panel. Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the die cut Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper panel to the Glow in the Dark Specialty Paper panel.

Glue the built panels to the card base. Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Light the Sky stamp set in Night of Navy ink on the panel. Use glue to add it to the bottom left corner of the card front.

I added Iridescent rhinestones to the center of the fireworks and on the sentiment panel for extra sparkle.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. I stamped the fireworks from the Light the Sky stamp set in Night of Navy ink and added a strip of Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Night of Navy cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Glow in the Dark Specialty Paper panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″.
Winter Meadow DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 1 3/8″ x 2″.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
