Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop September 2019

Hi! Welcome to Christy’s Stamping Spot. I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Arizona, USA. Today, I’m excited to be taking part in Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.

I am just in love with the Gathered Leaves Dies -they include 3 leaf dies that both cut and emboss. I was inspired by fellow Demo Rick Adkins who was using these awesome dies on his recent Facebook Live and mentioned how lightly spritzing your cardstock with water helps deepen the impression. I was already envisioning a card with the copper foil and remembered that the Bight Copper Shimmer Paint is on the Clarence Rack – and immediately wanted to spritz copper shimmer on my leaves! You can watch my Facebook Live replay of this project on Facebook here.

(but please pardon my slight sniffles and the fact that I’m using the color Mossy Meadow – not Mellow Moss…lol)

Start with a Soft Suede cs card base. Cut a Very Vanilla cs panel. Ink your Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder with the Celestial Copper Delicata Metallic Ink pad.

Add the new Delicata Metallic Ink – Celestial Copper Ink Pad – directly to the inside of your embossing folder before dry embossing to add ink to your layer.
Add as much or as little ink as you want – and then use a baby wipe to clean off your embossing folder after you’re done.

Dry emboss the Very Vanilla cs panel.

Just keep in mind what side of the texture you want to have color while applying ink and then be careful removing your paper from your folder after dry embossing.

Wrap your embossed Very Vanilla cs panel in the middle with the Come to Gather Crumb Cake Satin edged ribbon and use the glue dots to secure the ends to the back. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the wrapped embossed panel to the card base.

Cut the Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Soft Suede ink. Use the Detailed Trio Punch to round the sentiment panel’s corners.

Using the Bright Copper Shimmer Paint spritz die cut/emboss out leaves in Crumb Cake (5) and Mossy Meadow (3) with the the Gathered Leaves dies. Die cut/emboss leaves from the Copper Foil Sheets (3). Die cut out some sprigs from the Detailed Peacock Dies from Vellum cs (5).

Add a small amount – 1 drop – of Bright Copper Shimmer Paint to your Stampin’ Spritzer, fill with rubbing alcohol, and shake very well. Then spritz your cardstock before you die cut/emboss with the Gathered Leaves Dies for a gorgeous sparkly impression.

Add Snail to the back of the sentiment panel and add a few leaves and sprigs to the corners. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment panel to the card front slightly off centered towards the right overlapping the ribbon. Then using glue dots layer leaves & Vellum sprigs on the left side of the sentiment panel and add one to the bottom corner.

Tie a doubled bow from the Magnolia Lane Mossy Meadow linen thread and attach it to the bottom of the sentiment panel with a glue dot. Color Pearls with the Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blend and add them to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted in Nature stamp set in Soft Suede ink and glued a die cut leaf to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Thinking of You Gathered Leaves card. These leaves dies are so beautiful – perfect for Autumn or Fall as well as masculine themed cards.
