Glimmer Gal Team September Sketch Challenge – Snowman Season

For this month’s Glimmer Gal Team sketch challenge I decided to use the super cute Snowman Season stamp set in the colors Petal Pink and Seaside Spray.

Start with a Seaside Spray cs cardbase. Cut a Perennial Essence Petal Pink Vellum cs panel and then dry emboss it with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder. Cut pieces of Petal Pink Organdy Striped ribbon and Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon. Use Tear & Tape to attach the ribbon across the center of the embossed Vellum cs panel. Use Paper Snips to trim off the edges so they are smooth against Vellum cs and then use glue to attach the panel to the cardfront.

Stamp the snowman image from the Snowman Seasons stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Color the snowman with the Stampin’ Blends. Then die cut the stamped Whisper White cs oval with the Layering Oval dies. Add small amounts of glue to the image where you want to add Ice Stampin’ Glitter. Carefully dip the oval into the glitter and tap off the access. Set aside the oval to dry.

Die cut out a Seaside Spray cs scalloped oval with the Layering Ovals dies. When the glued glitter is dry use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the glittered stamped Whisper White cs oval to the Seaside Spray cs scalloped oval. Use glue dots and glue to attach the oval layers to the card front overlapping the ribbon.

Stamp the sentiment on Whisper White cs with Memento Black ink. Die cut out the sentiment with the Ornate Frames dies. Die cut snowflakes with the Seasonal Layers dies from Seaside Spray cs. Add glitter to the snowflake centers by adding a glue dot to the center and then dipping the snowflake into the glitter – tap off the excess and then add another glue dot to the back and attach to the card front.

Layer the big snowflake – then glue the sentiment layer overlapping it and slightly tucked under the snowman ovals. Add another snowflake w/ glue dot covered in glitter on top and glue dot on back to attach to the card front overlapping the bottom left edge of the sentiment panel. I used a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to attach the last snowflake w/ glue dot covered in glitter.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I added the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set in Memento Black ink and glued a Seaside Spray cs snowflake to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my September Glimmer Gal Team sketch challenge Snowman Season card. You can get the super cute Snowman Season stamp set and everything to recreate this card in my Online Store now.
