This week’s Global Design Project is a fun color challenge that had me reaching for my new Nature’s Beauty stamp set from the 2019 Holiday Catalog for the bunny and the Butterfly Wishes for a butterflies that matched to create an almost ‘Spring’ feel card.

Start with a Mint Macaron cs card base. Cut a Whisper White cs panel and the 2019 – 2021 In Color Rococo Rose DSP panel. With a sponge dauber add Rococo Rose ink to the edges of the Mint Macron cs card base and the Whisper White cs panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Healing Hugs stamp set in Mint Macaron ink centered on the top of the sponged Whisper White cs panel.
Use glue to add together the Whisper White cs and Rococo Rose DSP – making sure you have the desired border (I shortened the panel to show more Mint Macaron cs at the top & bottom edges).
Wrap the Whisper White cs/ Rococo Rose DSP panel with Whisper White Flax Ribbon using glue dots to secure the ends to the back of the panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the wrapped panel to the card base.
Die cut a Whisper White cs oval and a Mint Macaron cs scalloped oval with the Layering Oval dies. Use the sponge dauber to add Rococo Rose ink to the die cut ovals.
Die cut 3 So Saffron cs sprigs with the Detailed Peacock dies and punch out 3 Vellum cs leaves with the Leaf punch. Use Glue dots to attach the sprigs and leaves to the back of the Mint Macaron cs scalloped oval.
Stamp the bunny image from the Nature’s Beauty in Memento Black ink on the Whisper White cs oval. Stamp the butterfly image (6) in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Color the Bunny image and the butterflies with the Stampin’ Blends. Add Wink of Stella to all the images for sparkle. Punch out the butterflies with the Butterfly Duet punch. Glue the butterfly images together to create 3 butterflies.
I was excited to give the bunny a fluffy tail with the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. Shake the bottle well and then apply a small amount to the image. Then use the Heat Tool to heat the Puff Paint until if fluffs. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the stamped Whisper White cs oval to the Mint Macaron cs scalloped oval – be careful not to squish the fluffy tail, and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the oval layers centered slightly overlapping the ribbon beneath the sentiment on the card front.
Use the Bone Folder to slightly shape the butterflies wings. Use Glue Dots to attach the butterflies to the card front. Color rhinestones and add them to the card front around the butterflies.
Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I sponged Rococo Rose ink to the inside panel’s edges. I also added the sentiment from the Healing Hugs stamp set in Mint Macaron ink, strips of the Rococo Rose DSP, and stamped & colored butterflies to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.
