Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop December 2019 -'Winked' Christmas Rose Card

Hi! Welcome to Christy’s Stamping Spot. I’m Christy and I’m an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator from Arizona, USA. Today, I’m excited to be taking part in Kylie’s Demonstrator Training Blog Hop.

Everything about the Christmastime is Here Suite is gorgeous. After stamping the rose with Cherry Cobbler ink I painted it with a new Wink of Stella to add maximum sparkle.

Start with a Garden Green cs card base. Cut a Cherry Cobbler cs panel, dry emboss it with the Lace 3D embossing folder and glue it to the card base.

Cut a Christmastime is Here DSP panel and glue it centered on the card base.

Stamp the rose image from the Christmas Rose stamp set in Memento black ink on Very Vanilla cs. Fill in the stamped rose image with the coordinating images – roses in Cherry Cobbler ink, pine cones in Soft Suede ink, leaves in Garden Green, berries in Merry Merlot. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to fill in color and add a little shading. Die cut out the rose with the Roses Dies.

To get maximum sparkle I painted the rose with a brand new Wink of Stella. Add Shimmery Crystal Effects to the berries to give them dimension (set aside until completely dry).

Cut the Very Vanilla cs sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Christmas Rose stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink.

Adhere the die cut rose image to the top right of the card front slightly overlapping the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Glue the sentiment panel under the rose image slightly overlapping the DSP on the left of the card front.

Color rhinestones with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend and then add them to the card front around the die cut rose.

Don’t forget to add a Very Vanilla cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment and added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
