Hues Of Happiness DSP Easter Bunny Card

For this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge I created a cute Easter card with the adorable Easter Bunny stamp set, the retiring 2022-2203 Annual Catalog Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper, and the Brushstroke Specialty Paper. I’m really going to miss this gorgeous Designer Series Paper when it retires May 1st.

Start with a Blushing Bride cardstock card base. Cut a Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper panel. Die cut a Blushing Bride Brushstroke Specialty paper scalloped stitched rectangle with the Scalloped Contours dies. Glue the scalloped stitched rectangle to the center of the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper panel. Wrap the panels with Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends to the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base.

Die cut out a Basic White cardstock stitched circle and stitched sentiment banner with the Stylish Shapes dies. Die cut a Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper scalloped circle with the Layering Circles dies. Glue the scalloped circle to the stitched circle. Stamp the sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set in Basic Gray ink on the die cut stitched sentiment banner. Stamp the bunny from the Easter Bunny stamp set in Basic Gray ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the bunny with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Fussy cut out the colored bunny with paper snips. Fussy cut a few (three) small Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper flowers with paper snips. Use glue dots and a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the flowers to the bunny so it looks like the bunny is holding them. Glue the bunny to the circles and then use glue dots to add the stamped stitched sentiment banner to the bottom of the circles slightly overlapping the bunny.

Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built circles to the center of the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon. Add Wink of Stella to the fussy cut flowers and Iridescent rhinestones for extra sparkle. Add more Iridescent rhinestones to the card front. Tie a small bow with the Gray Granite Shimmer ribbon and use glue dots to add it to the right side of the circles overlapping the wrapped ribbon.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the bunny from the Easter Bunny stamp set on the left side of the inside panel. Color the bunny with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Add a strip of Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper to the bottom of the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the sentiment from the Easter Bunny stamp set in Basic Gray ink on the bottom left of the inside panel. Glue the inside panel into the card.

Hues of Happiness DSP panel – 5 1/4″ x 4″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Brushstroke Specialty DSP scalloped stitched rectangle – die cut with the Scalloped Contours dies.
Basic White cs stitched circle – die cut the Stylish Shapes dies.
Hues of Happiness DSP scalloped circle – die cut with the Layering Circles dies.
Basic White cs bunny – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs stitched sentiment banner – die cut with the Stylish Shapes dies.
Hues of Happiness DSP flowers – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
