Hello Friend Horizontal Center Step Fun Fold Card

I am so going to miss the super cute retiring Snailed It stamp set from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I couldn’t resist pairing the snail with the fabulous mushrooms created with the Iconic Dies to make this Center Step fun fold card. Start with a Poppy Parade cs card base. Make the two cuts with your paper trimmer and the score lines with either your paper trimmer or Simply Scored score board so you can create the Center Step fold. Use your Bone Folder to firm the folds on your score lines.

Cut all your Basic White cs panel layers and Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper panels, and glue them to your Center Step card base. Die cut two each of the two different Vellum cs flower sprigs from the Meadow Dies and glue them to the DSP panels.

Die cut six each of the Basic White cs & the Poppy Parade cs large & small mushrooms with the Iconic Dies. Use your Ivory Stampin’ Blend to add color around the stems of all the Basic White cs mushrooms. Fussy cut the top off the Poppy Parade cs large mushroom – following the bottom of the indented lip with your paper snips. Also fussy cut the top off the Poppy Parade cs small mushroom. Depending if you want the holes to be deep or shallow- glue the Poppy Parade cs tops directly to the Basic White cs mushrooms and then glue a fussy cut Basic White cs scrap to the back of the Basic White cs mushroom (deep) or glue the Poppy Parade cs tops to a piece of fussy cut Basic White cs first and then glue backed tops to the Basic White cs mushrooms (shallow). I also die cut out the middle bit from the middle of the large mushroom from a scrap of Beauty of the Earth DSP to add back into the large mushroom with glue. Use glue and glue dots to add your mushrooms to the card front panels overlapping the Vellum cs sprigs.

Stamp your sentiments from the Biggest Wish stamp set with Poppy Parade ink & Memento Black ink to Basic White cs using the Tasteful Label die as a guide and then die cut your sentiment out with that die. Use glue to add the sentiment panel to the left side of the center & front edge of the card front.

Stamp the snail image from the Snailed It stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Color the snail with Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut out the snail removing the presents. Use a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (cut it half for the eyes) and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the snail to the card front overlapping the mushrooms and sentiment panel. Add Elegant Faceted Gems to the card front panels.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I added a Vellum cs sprig, large mushroom, and a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Card Measurements:

Card Base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″. Place your card base cs on trimmer with the long side parallel to the cutting blade – cuts are vertical and scores are horizontal.
At 1 1/4″ from the side, cut with the blade from 1″ to 5 1/4″, and at 4 1/4″ from the side, cut with the blade from 1″ to 5 1/4″.

Turn your card base 90 degrees (so the 8 1/2″ is at the top) Score at 1″ to the cut line & at 4 1/4″ x 1″ from cut line to edge, at 2″ to the cut line & 4 1/4″x the edge, at 5 1/4″ from edge to the cut line & at 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ from the cut line to the edge, and then score between the cut lines at 1″ x 41/4″ score 1″ to 4″.

Card Panels:

Basic White cs panel pieces – two side panel layers at 3 1/8″ x 1″, center panel layer at 3 1/8″ x 2 3/4″, bottom panel layer at 7/8″ x 5 3/8″.
Beauty of the Earth DSP panels – two side panels at 3″ x 7/8″, center panel at 3″ x 2 5/8″, bottom panel at 6/8″ x 5 1/4″ plus one inside at 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ and on the back at 1/2″ x 5″.
Basic White cs sentiment panel – die cut with the Tasteful Labels Dies.
Basic White cs & Poppy Parade cs large & small mushrooms – die cut with the Iconic Dies.
Basic White cs scrap- to back the mushrooms.
Beauty of the Earth DSP mushroom center- die cut with the Iconic Dies.
Vellum cs sprigs – two each die cut with the Meadow Dies.
Basic White cs snail – fussy cut out with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3″ x 5 1/4″
