For the Glimmer Gals Team May 2021 Color Challenge given by the lovely Lorraine I created this fun Shark Frenzy Father’s Day card with these lovely colors. I used the adorable Shark Frenzy bundle from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog is retiring soon. I love these super cute images and all their accessories! I used the KISS technique with the fabulous Natural Textures Host stamp set to add texture to the color of my Daddy shark.
Start with a Soft Succulent cs card base. Cut a Basic White cs panel, dry emboss it with a Bark 3D embossing folder, and then glue it to the card base. Cut a Pool Party cs panel, die cut it in half with the Shark dies, and then use a Sponge Dauber to add Pool Party ink to the edges.
Die cut five Soft Succulent cs seaweed pieces with the Shark dies. Using the sponged Pool Party cs panel pieces decide where you want your seaweed to be. Glue one seaweed piece to the back of the bottom Pool Party cs piece and then glue to the card front. Then use glue to add two more seaweed pieces to the card front overlapping the bottom Pool Party cs piece. Then use glue to layer the top sponged Pool Party cs piece to the card front-overlapping the seaweed & bottom Pool Party cs piece.
Stamp bubbles from the Shark Frenzy stamp set in Pool Party ink randomly up the center of the embossed Basic White cs panel. Cut a Basic White cs sentiment panel and stamp the sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink. Stamp the sentiment again on Basic White cs in Soft Succulent ink and then fussy cut the center out. Use a Sponge Dauber to add Pool Party ink to the edges of both sentiment panels. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the fussy cut panel to the larger sentiment panel and then glue them to the top center of the card front.
Stamp the shark outline from the Shark Frenzy stamp set in Memento Black ink. Ink the shark fill image stamp with Cinnamon Cider ink, then KISS (lightly tap the inked stamp against the uninked stamp) the shark fill stamp against the texture stamp from the Natural Textures Host stamp set- giving the shark fill image a textured pattern – and then stamp to fill in the outline shark image. Finish coloring the shark with Stampin’ Blends. Die cut out the shark image with the Shark dies.
Die cut out a hat and mustache with the Shark dies. With the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend add a band on the hat. Stamp the mustache image from the Shark Frenzy stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink on the die cut mustache piece. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hat and mustache to the die cut shark. Add the shark to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping both sponged Pool Party cs pieces. Use glue to add the last two die cut seaweed pieces on either side of the shark. Add Champagne Rhinestones to the card front.
Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set in Cinnamon Cider ink and an embossed Basic White cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
I hope you enjoyed my Shark Frenzy Father’s Day card. You can order the retiring Shark Frenzy Bundle, the Bark 3D embossing folder, and the Handsomely Suited stamp set in my Online Store and earn the Natural Textures Host stamp set.
