Halloween is on a Monday this year and I’ll be counting down to Halloween with a new Halloween project on Mondays until October 31st.
As this is the last Halloween Monday before Halloween I created a fun card combining elements from the Gnome dies, with the Hello Harvest stamp set, the Scary Cute bundle, and the Bewitching stamp set on a Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper panel.
Start with a Pumpkin Pie cardstock card base. Cut a Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper panel and glue it to the card base. Die cut a Basic White cardstock panel with the Deckled Rectangles dies and dry emboss it with the Fall Leaf 3D embossing folder. Use a blending brush to add Soft Suede ink to the embossed die cut Basic White cardstock panel. Glue the embossed and inked panel to the center of the card front at slight angle.
Stamp two pumpkins and the small sunflower from the Hello Harvest stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the images with Stampin’ Blends. Fussy cut the images out with paper snips. I trimmed the sides and a bit off the stem of one of the pumpkins to make it smaller. Die cut three Basic Black cardstock bats and cat with the Scary Silhouette dies. Fussy cut a small scrap of Crushed Curry cardstock and glue it on the back of the Basic Black cardstock die cut cat so that the Crushed Curry shows through the cat’s eyes.
Die cut a gnome Basic White cardstock nose & beard, and Early Espresso cardstock boots with the Gnomes Dies. Color the nose and beard with Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the witch hat from the Bewitching stamp set in Soft Suede ink on Basic White cardstock and fussy cut the hat out with paper snips. Scrunch the hat to give it wrinkles. Add a strip of orange Glitter Washi tape across the hat’s band. Use a glue dot to add the colored sunflower to the center of the hat covering the buckle square.
Add the pumpkins to the left side of the card front overlapping the embossed panel with glue dots and Black Stampin’ Dimensionals. Tuck the cat behind one of the pumpkins with glue dots. Build the gnome by using Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the hat to the beard and then gluing the nose and boots to the beard. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the gnome to the card front overlapping the pumpkins and embossed panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Scary Cute stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Use paper snips to fussy cut out the sentiment and flag the ends. Use the bone folder to slightly curl the sentiment banner and use a glue dot and a Black Stampin’ Dimensional to add the banner to the card front on the top right of the embossed panel. Add the bats to the card front and the hat with glue dots. Add Wink of Stella to the pumpkin and cat’s eyes for extra sparkle. Add Rustic Metallic Adhesive – Backed Dots to the lower left corner of the card front.
Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Scary Cute bundle and the pumpkin from the Hello Harvest stamp set in Memento Black ink. Color the pumpkin with the Stampin’ Blends. Glue the stamped inside panel to the inside of the card base. Add a strip of Rustic Harvest DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
