Halloween Mondays: Best Witches Scary Silhouettes Spell On Me Card

Halloween is on a Monday this year and I’ll be counting down to Halloween with a new Halloween project on Mondays until October 31st.

Card Measurements, Supply List, and printable PDF tutorial for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

I am late posting Monday’s cute Best Witches Scary Silhouettes Spell On Me Card. I had a fabulous time in New Orleans at the Stampin’ Up! Leadership conference, BackStage, last weekend! Meet so many wonderful demos and learned so much but unfortunately I brought back an unwelcome hitchhiker. I caught Covid and have been wicked sick this week. I’m still pretty fuzzy but there is so much awesomeness happening in September – with Perfect Partners dies & September Weekly Deals – and I love sharing Halloween projects and Halloween will be here before we know it!

For this fun card I wanted to play more with the Glitter Washi Tape, the Lights Aglow Designer Series Paper, the Scary Silhouette dies, and the Best Witches stamp set.

Start with a Gorgeous Grape cardstock card base. Cut a Basic Black cardstock (cs) panel and a Lights Aglow Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP)panel. Glue the panels to the card front. Die cut a Basic White cs circle and a Basic Black cs scalloped circle with the Layering Circles dies. Cover the Basic White cs circle with Glitter Washi Tape. Glue the covered circle to the Basic Black cs scalloped circle and then glue the circles to the center of the card front.

Stamp the witch from the Best Witches stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut out the colored witch with paper snips. Add Wink of Stella to the witch for extra sparkle. Stamp the sentiment from the Best Witches stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cs. Color over the sentiment with Stampin’ Blends and then punch the sentiment out with the Label Me Fancy punch. Add black Glitter Washi Tape to the top and bottom edges of the sentiment label.

Die cut out a Basic Black cs cat & Basic black cs bats with the Scary Silhouette dies. Use glue to add the die cut Basic Black cs cat to the top of the sentiment label. Use Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment label and the fussy cut witch image to the card front overlapping the Glitter Washi Tape covered circle. Use glue to add die cut bats to the card front. Add Glossy Dots to the card front and the sentiment label.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cs inside panel to write your message. I added a die cut bat and a Specialty DSP strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
