Gray Gears Birthday Wishes Card

This week I’m creating with the stack of gears from the Garage Gears thinlit dies that I dry & heat embossed and the More Than Words stamp set. You can see how I made these dry & heat embossed gears here.

Start with a Whisper White cs card base. Cut a Basic Gray cs panel. Pat the Embossing Buddy over the Basic Gray cs panel. Using the Versamark ink pad stamp the oil splotch from the Geared Up Garage stamp set and the textured stamp from the One Wild Ride stamp set on the Basic Gray cs panel. Dip the stamped cs into the Silver embossing powder and tap off the excess. Use the Heat Tool to melt the powder. Then repeat the process with the Black embossing powder. Glue the double heat embossed Basic Gray cs panel onto the card base.

Cut a Vellum scalloped circle with the Layering Circle framelit dies. Glue the Vellum scalloped circle to the upper center of the card front. Use glue to adhere a dry & heat embossed Silver Foil gear to overlap the Vellum cs scalloped circle.

Cut the Whisper White cs sentiment piece, and stamp the ‘Birthday’ from the Sale-A-Bration Coordination More than Words stamp set in Memento Black ink. Stamp the ‘Wishes’ in Basic Gray ink. Stamp the halved wishes stamp in Memento Black on top of the Basic Gray Wishes stamped sentiment. Use a dauber inked with Basic Gray ink to add color to the stamped Whisper White cs sentiment layer especially on the edges. Then gently drag the Whisper White cs sentiment layer across the Memento Black ink pad only adding ink to few spots along the edge to finish the look.

Glue a smaller Silver Foil dry & heat embossed gear to the bottom left hand corner (placed to peek out behind the sentiment layer). Use Stampin’ Dimentionals to adhere the sentiment layer to the card front. Use a piece of a Mini Stampin’ Dimentionals and glue to adhere a second Silver foil dry & heat embossed gear to the side of the sentiment layer and card front. To finish the card stamp the oil splotch from the Geared Up Garage stamp set in Basic Gray to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
