Global Design Project #GDP489 Playing In The Rain Hello Color Challenge Card

For this week’s Global Design Project #GDP489 Color Challenge, I created a fun Hello card with the super cute turtle from the Playing In The Rain stamp set and the wonky circles from the Around It All dies.

Start with a Soft Sea Foam cardstock card base. Cut a Lemon Lolly cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Stamp the flowers from the Playing In The Rain stamp set in Memento Black ink multiple times across the Basic White cardstock panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set in Memento Black ink in between the stamped flowers on the Basic White cardstock panel. Color the the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower centers.

Glue the panels together. Wrap the panels with Iridescent Striped Trim using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ends to the back of the panels. Glue the wrapped panels to the card base. Die cut a Soft Sea Foam cardstock wonky circle and a Bubble Bath cardstock wonky circle with the Around It All dies. Glue the Bubble Bath cardstock circle to the Soft Sea Foam circle and use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the circles to the card front overlapping the wrapped ribbon slightly to the right.

Stamp the turtle from the Playing In The Rain stamp set in Memento Black on Basic White cardstock. Color the turtle with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Fussy cut or die cut out the turtle with the Playing In The Rain dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the turtle to the circles on the card front. Die cut a Bubble Bath cardstock bow tie with the Playing In The Rain dies. Use a glue dot to add the bow tie to the turtle. Tie a bow with the Iridescent Striped Trim and add it to the card front on the left side of the circles overlapping the wrapped ribbon with glue dots. Add Iridescent Faceted Gems to the card front and the bow tie for sparkle.

Cut a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Simply Said stamp set and the flowers from the Playing In The Rain stamp set in Memento Black ink on the inside panel. Color the flowers with Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella to the flower centers. Add a Basic White cardstock (stamped & colored like the front panel) strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Glue the inside panel into the card.

Basic White cs panel – 5″ x 3 3/4″ plus two 1/2″ x 4″ strips.
Soft Sea Foam cs wonky circle layer – die cut with the Around It All dies.
Bubble Bath cs wonky circle – die cut with the Around It All dies.
Basic White cs turtle – fussy cut or die cut with the Playing in the Rain dies.
Bubble Bath cs bow tie – die cut with the Playing in the Rain dies.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
