Global Design Project #GDP479 Hearts of Elegance Theme Challenge Card

For this week’s Global Design Project #GDP479 theme challenge I created a Valentine’s Day card with the Hearts of Elegance bundle, the Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog Soft Waves 3D embossing folder.

Start with the Bubble Bath cardstock card base. Cut a Bubble Bath cardstock panel, dry emboss the panel with the Soft Waves 3D embossing folder. Die cut a large heart, medium heart, and a small stitched Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Hearts of Elegance dies. Glue the large die cut heart to the embossed panel. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the medium die cut heart to the card front slightly overlapping the right side of the large heart.

Cut a Basic White cardstock sentiment panel. Stamp the sentiment from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on the sentiment panel. Use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the sentiment panel to the card front overlapping the die cut hearts. Use glue dots and a Stampin’ Dimensional to add the die cut stitched heart overlapping the sentiment panel and the die cut medium heart.

Wrap Iridescent Striped Trim across the built panel using Stampin’ Seal to secure the ribbons ends on the back of the panel. Add the wrapped panel to the card base with glue. Tie a bow with the Iridescent Striped Trim and add it to the card front under the sentiment panel with glue dots. Add Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins to the card front.

Add a Basic White cardstock panel to write your message. Add a strip of Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the sentiment from the Hearts of Elegance stamp set and the small heart cluster image from the Hugs For Love stamp set in Melon Mambo ink on the bottom right of the inside panel above the strip of Specialty Designer Series Paper.

Embossed Bubble Bath cs panel – 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.
Marbled Elegance Specialty DSP hearts – three (large, medium, small stitched) hearts die cut with Hearts of Elegance dies plus two 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips
Basic White cs sentiment panel – 1 1/4″ x 2 7/8″.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
Iridescent Striped Trim
