Global Design Project 230 – Sketch Challenge with the Ornate Garden Suite

This week’s Global Design Project is a fun sketch challenge. I used elements from the new Ornate Garden Suite to make my card. I adore the floral images of the upcoming Ornate Style stamp set & Ornate Garden Specialty DSP that will be in the 2020 -2021 Annual Catalog and are only available to demonstrators now and to customers on April 1st..

Start with Terracotta Tile cs card base. Cut two strips of the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP and glue them to the card base (about 1/4″ from the edge along each side). Cut a Pool Party cs panel, dry emboss it with the Subtle 3D embossing folder, and then glue it down the middle of the card front overlapping the two DSP strips on either side.

Stamp the large floral image from the Ornate Style stamp set in Memento Black ink on Thick Whisper White cs. Color the image with Stampin’ Blends. Die cut out the sentiment with the Stitched Shapes dies. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the stitched circle to the center of the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Special Someone stamp set in Terracotta Tile ink on Thick Whisper White cs. Use your paper snips to cut it out about 1/4″ x 1 3/4″. Fussy cut out a Terracotta Tile cs sentiment layer about 1/2″ x 1 7/8″. Glue the stamped Thick Whisper White cs sentiment panel to the Terracotta Tile cs sentiment layer. Then use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the sentiment panels to the right of the card front so it overlaps the stitched circle, embossed panel, and DSP panel – stack two dimensionals on the right end so the sentiment panel lays flat. Add pearls to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Thick Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message on. I stamped the sentiment and added a strip of DSP to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
