Global Design Project 229 – Color Challenge with My Meadow

This week’s Global Design Project is a lovely color challenge. I choose to pair the My Meadow stamp set and the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder to create my card.

Start with a Garden Green cs card base. Cut a Garden Green cs panel and dry emboss it with the Pinewood Planks 3D embossing folder. Cut a piece of the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon and color it with the Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend. Then wrap the colored ribbon around the embossed Garden Green panel securing the ends with glue dots to the back of the panel. Use Snail to adhere the wrapped panel to the card front.

Cut the Whisper White cs image panel. Stamp the gazebo image from the My Meadow stamp set in Night of Navy on the panel. Create the trees and grass with the images in the My Meadow stamp set in Garden Green ink and 2nd generation (stamped off) Garden Green ink. I stamped the images so they continued off the panel. Add the flowers image from the My Meadow stamp set in Crushed Curry ink to the trees and grass. Add Wink of Stella to the flowers for sparkle.

Cut a Crushed Curry cs layer. Use Snail to attach the Whisper White cs image layer to the Crushed Curry cs layer. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the image layers to the card front overlapping the ribbon slightly to the left. Tie a small bow with another piece of Dark Night of Navy Stampin’ Blend colored Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon and use glue dots to add it to the card front to the right of the image panel below the wrapped ribbon.

Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Moments stamp set in Night of Navy ink on Whisper White cs. Use Paper Snips to fussy cut out the sentiment. Add Crushed Curry color around the sentiment with the Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write marker. Attach the fussy cut sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals (cut to fit on the back) to the card front above the bow and wrapped ribbon overlapping the image layers. Use the Dark Stampin’ Blend to color Pearls and then add them to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I also stamped the sentiment and added an embossed Garden Green cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
