Positive Thoughts 2018 - 2020 In Color Cards: Card 1

I created a set of 4 cards for the Stamping Lovelies color challenge. I started by making my own DSP using the Positive Thoughts stamp set and the 2018- 2019 In Colors. These bright and cheery colors are retiring in June so don’t wait to stock up on your favorites. You can see all the 2018 – 2020 In Color products here in my Online Store.

I made my own DSP by stamping the images on a full sheet of Whisper White cs.

I colored the butterflies with the Dark Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blend. I cut the stamped Whisper White cs sheet (8 1/2″ x 11″) into four – 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ pieces to use on each card.

Start with a Blueberry Bushel cs card base. Cut a Pineapple Punch cs panel, dry emboss it with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder (don’t forget to use the blue 3D Embossing Folder Plate to get the best impression), and glue it to the card base.

I cut down the Whisper White cs Positive Thoughts DSP piece (3 3/4″ x 5 1/2″), then ripped it so the piece from the right is about 3″ to 3 1/4″ long, and glued it to the right side of card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set in Blueberry Bushel ink on Whisper White cs. Die cut out the sentiment with the Painted Labels dies. Die cut out a Vellum cs label with the Wild Rose dies.

Use Snail applied to the center of the Vellum cs label to attach it centered on the card front. Attach the die cut Whisper White cs sentiment label to the center of the Vellum cs with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Use the Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend to color pearls and then add them to the card front and sentiment label.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment and added an embossed Pineapple Punch cs strip to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
