This week’s Global Design Project is a color challenge. I decided to pull out the Daisy Lane bundle and the Frost White Shimmer Paint to make this week’s card.
Start with a Thick Whisper White cs card base. Cut a Night of Navy cs panel and a Granny Apple Green cs panel. Glue the Night of Navy cs panel to the card base. Dry emboss the Granny Apple Green cs panel with the Layered Leaves 3D embossing folder.
Stamp the medium daisy image from the Daisy Lane stamp set on Thick Whisper White cs in Pineapple Punch ink (11 daisies), and then punch them out with the Medium Daisy punch.
On Thick Whisper White cs brush on some Frosted White Shimmer Paint.
When dry – stamp the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Night of Navy ink. Punch out the sentiment with the Everyday Label punch. On a block add a drop of Pineapple Punch ink refill and with a sponge dauber lightly add some ink to the sentiment label’s edges & around the sentiment. I also used the sponge dauber to add spots of ink to the edges of the card base.
Wrap a piece of Whisper White Flax ribbon around the embossed & sponged Granny Apple Green cs, secure the ribbon ends to the back of the card with glue dots, and then glue the panel to the card front.
Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment label centered over the ribbon in the center of the card front. Build the daisies by using glue dots and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals by adhering two punched daisies together (two with glue dots and 3 with Mini Dimensionals) and then using glue dots adhere the daisies around the sentiment label on the card front.
Color some rhinestones with the Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blend and then add them to the card front around the daisies. I added the last punched & stamped daisy to the inside of the card by cutting it in half and adhering it with glue dots. I also stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink and a medium daisy in Pineapple Punch ink with a sponged Night of Navy ink/Frosted White Shimmer Paint center on the back of the card to pull the theme through.
