Global Design Project 192 – CASE the Designer

This week’s Global Design Project is it to CASE the Designer. I made two variations of a card with the adorable fairy from the new Just For Hosts stamp set ‘New Wonders’ – please let me know in the comments which you like better #1 or #2?

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

This is the lovely card by Charlet Mallett I’m CASEing.
Card #1
Card #2

Start with a Petal Pink cs card base. Cut a Soft Sea Foam cs panel and dry emboss it with the Layered Leaves embossing folder.

For Card #1 – Wrap a piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the embossed Soft Sea Foam cs, secure the ends with glue dots, and then glue to the card base. Cut a Perennial Essence DSP, use the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end, and then glue to the card front.

For Card #2 – Cut a Perennial Essence DSP, use the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end, and then glue to the embossed Soft Sea Foam cs. Wrap a piece of Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon around the embossed Soft Sea Foam cs & DSP, and secure the ends with glue dots, and then glue to the card base.

On Whisper White cs stamp the Fairy from the New Wonders stamp set and the flowers & leaves from the Free As A Bird stamp set in Memento Black ink (3 leaves & 5 little flowers & 4 large flowers – for card #1) (2 leaves & 3 little flowers & 2 large flowers – for card #2). Color with the Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut them out with your Paper Snips. Add some Wink of Stella to the flower petals and the fairy for sparkle.

Stamp the sentiment from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Memento Black ink on Whisper White cs. Punch out the sentiment with the Tailored Tag Punch. Use Paper Snips to snip the ends of the tag off.

For Card #1 – Build the card front with glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals above the ribbon. Make a bow with the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and use glue dots to adhere it to the left side of the card front. With the dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend to color rhinestones and then add them to the card front.

For Card #2 – Build the card front with glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon. Make a bow with the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon and use glue dots to adhere it to the right side of the card front. With the dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend to color rhinestones and then add them to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Whisper White cs inside panel to write your message. In Card #1 I stamped & colored the inside and back of the card with the flowers and leaves from the Free As A Bird stamp set.

For Card #2 I added a strip of DSP to the inside layer and added a fussy cut out flower to the inside and back of the card to pull the theme through.
