Global Design Project 190 – Sketch Challenge

This week’s Global Design Project is a sketch challenge. I brought along only the basic supplies and my May Paper Pumpkin kit with me on vacation to make this week’s card.

Start with a Crumb Cake card base (I used retired Crumb Cake Note cards). Cut a Petal Pink cs layer. Stamp the flower image from the Hugs With Shelli May Paper Pumpkin kit stamp set with Early Espresso ink in the lower left hand corner for the Petal Pink cs layer.

Use the side of your ink pad (I used the spot) to add streaks of ink to the sides of the panel to give it a vintage look. Use glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals add the paper pumpkin kit cut out flowers over the stamped flowers. Then wrap Linen Thread around the bottom of the card overlapping the flowers and tied off in a small bow.

Cut the Very Vanilla cs panel and stamp the sentiment from the paper pumpkin stamp set in Early Espresso ink. Use your paper snips to shape the panel by cutting off the corners. Use the side of your ink pad or spot to add ink streaks to the sides of the panel for the vintage look and then adhere it to the card front -tucked under the Linen Thread and slightly overlapping the cut out flowers. Then add a cut out flower to the right side of the sentiment panel. Then add Wink of Stella to all the flower centers for sparkle.

Don’t forget to add an inside Very Vanilla cs panel to write your message. I stamped the sentiment and flower image on the inside panel and back of the card. I also used the side of my ink pad to add ink to the panel to give the inside panel a vintage look to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my #GDP190 card. You can subscribe to June’s Paper Pumpkin Kit in my Online Store now. You can just order one kit or subscribe to get the kits every month.
