Stash Sundays – Summer By The Sea

Stash Sunday has become a Monday this week. I had a fabulous day in Hilo yesterday – drove the lovely Saddle rd, visited the zoo, hiked a botanical garden, even hit their mall, and drove up past 11,000 ft to the Observatory through an old lava field – and was too exhausted to post.

This week I paired the lovely retired Summer By The Sea stamp set with my May Paper Pumpkin Kit. You can watch my Facebook Live unboxing in Kona of my Paper Pumpkin here.

Start with a Crumb Cake card base (I used a retired Crumb Cake Note Card). Cut in half the Paper Pumpkin card base – saving the plain side to use on the inside of the card – and cut the printed side to layer on the Crumb Cake cs card base. Wrap the velvet ribbon around the Paper Pumpkin printed layer and secure the ends with glue dots on the back. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the layer to the card base.

Pre-Stamped at home with the retired Summer By The Sea stamp set and sentiment from a retired word set.

I stamped the images from the Summer By the Sea stamp set ahead of time in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cs. Using my Wink of Stella as a paint brush – I picked up a little of the Early Espresso ink to add sparkle and color to the image and then backed it with a Soft Suede cs panel. Use Stampin Dimensionals to adhere the image panels to the card front.

I added a piece of velvet ribbon with glue dots to the side of the pre- stamped in Early Espresso ink and cut sentiment from the Summer By The Sea stamp set and then used Stampin Dimensionals to add it to the top left corner of the stamped image panel.

Then add a cut out flower from the Paper Pumpkin kit to the bottom of the stamped image. Use Wink of Stella to add sparkle to the flower centers.

Don’t forget to add an inside panel to write your message. I cut down the second half of the Paper Pumpkin card base for the inside panel. I also added the pre- stamped and cut sentiment in Early Espresso ink and a strip of the card front panel to the inside panel. To finish the card I stamped the flowers image from the Hugs From Shelli stamp set in Early Espresso ink and added Wink of Stella to the flowers to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.
