Gathering Moments Color Challenge Card

A while back I for a Global Design Project’s color challenge I created a card using the new Online Exclusive Gathering Moments bundle. This wonderful fall bundle includes Distinkitive images, sentiments of gratitude, and large leaf dies. The small leave images, stamped in all three of the challenge colors, make a lovely fall background. I also used the September-December 2025 Mini Catalog Branching Out dies to create the sentiment label.

Start with a Crushed Curry cardstock card base. Cut a Cajun Craze cardstock panel and a Basic White cardstock panel. Create a background with the small leaves & acorn images from the Gathering Moments stamp set (*Remember with Distinktive images to add ink to the stamp instead of tapping the stamp into the ink. And it might be better to use a less juicy ink pad for best results.) on the Basic White cardstock panel. Glue the stamped Basic White cardstock panel to the Cajun Craze cardstock panel. Glue the panels to the card base.

Die cut a Cajun Craze cardstock leaf and a Crushed Curry cardstock leaf with the Gathering Moments dies. Stamp the small texture marks image from the Gathering Moments stamp set in Crushed Curry ink on the Crushed Curry cardstock leaf and then stamp the same image with Cajun Craze ink on the Cajun Craze cardstock leaf. Ball both leaves into a ball to add wrinkles to the leaves for added texture when you smooth them out. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals and glue dots to add the leaves to the card front overlapping each other.

Die cut out a small stitched label with the Branching Out dies (die cutting twice to make the smallest die smaller). Stamp the first part of the sentiment from the Gathering Moments stamp set in Cajun Craze ink in the middle of the stitch label and then stamp the second part of the sentiment also in Cajun Craze ink below the first sentiment on the stitched label. Stamp the leaf images from the Gathering Moments stamp set in the three colors (Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, & Pecan Pie inks) on the edges of the stitched label around the sentiments. Stamp an acorn from the Gathering Moments stamp set in Pecan Pie ink on Basic White cardstock, fussy cut out the acorn, and then use a glue dot to add it to the bottom left corner of the stitched label. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the built stitched label to the card front overlapping the large leaves slightly on the left side of the card front. Add Cajun Craze & Gold Dots to the stitched label and card front. Tie a small double bow with Linen Thread and use glue dots to add it the card front under the acorn & stitched label.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Glue a strip of created Designer Series Paper (like the front panel) to the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

Crushed Curry cs card base – 11″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 5 1/2″.
Cajun Craze cs panel – 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″.
Basic White cs panel – 5 1/4″ X 4″ plus two 1/4″ x 4″ strips.
Cajun Craze cs leaf – die cut the Branching Out dies.
Crushed Curry cs leaf – die cut the Branching Out dies.
Basic White cs acorn – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs label – die cut twice with the Branching Out dies to make it smaller.
Basic White cs inside panel – 5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″.
Linen Thread.
