Fresh As A Daisy DSP #GDP390 Card

For this week’s Global Design Project sketch challenge I used one of the upcoming 2023-2024 Annual Catalog Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper panels, the retiring Into The Clouds embossing folder, the bird from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set, and the sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set to create my card. This card also features two new colors – the Azure Afternoon that will be added to the Brights family and the 2023-2025 In Color Wild Wheat.

Start with a 2023-2025 In Color Wild Wheat cardstock card base. Cut the panel from the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper sheet. Cut the Designer Series Paper panel into three 1 3/4″ strips and then cut each strip into three pieces (1 5/16″ x 1 3/4″) to create nine small rectangles. Glue the Designer Series Paper rectangles to the card base. I glued the corners on first to make sure I had the spacing correct.

Punch an Azure Afternoon cardstock circle with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and then emboss the circle with the retiring Into The Clouds embossing folder. Glue the embossed circle to the card front in the right bottom corner. Cut a Basic White cardstock banner strip. Stamp the sentiment from the Pansy Patch stamp set in Memento Black ink on the Basic White cardstock banner and then use paper snips to flag both ends. Add the sentiment banner to the card front across the embossed circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the bird from the Happy Hedgehogs stamp set in Memento Black ink on Basic White cardstock. Color the bird with the Azure Afternoon combo Stampin’ Blends & the Wild Wheat combo Stampin’ Blends and add Wink of Stella for sparkle. Fussy cut out the bird and add to the embossed circle on the card front above & slightly tucked under the sentiment banner. Add 2023-2025 In Color Dots to the card front.

Don’t forget to add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. I embossed two Azure Afternoon cardstock strips with the Into The Clouds embossing folder and added them to the inside & back of the card to pull the theme through. Stamp the sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set in Memento Black ink above the embossed strip in the lower right corner.

Wild Wheat cs card base – 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and scored at 4 1/4″.
Fresh As A Daisy DSP panel – 4″ x 5 1/4″ cut into 3rds – three 1 3/4″ strips and then cut each strip into three pieces 1 5/16″ to create nine small rectangles.
Embossed Azure Afternoon cs circle – punched with the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch plus two 1/2″ x 5 1/4″ strips.
Basic White cs sentiment banner – 5/8″ x 3 1/2″ flagged at both ends with paper snips.
Basic White cs bird – fussy cut with paper snips.
Basic White cs inside panel – 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″.
