Flowers Fair Ladybug Card

Card Measurements and Supply List with the printable PDF with the clickable (Print Recipe) link for this project are found at the bottom of this blog post.

For today’s Flowers Fair card I added the fun ladybug elements and the beautiful embossed frame to the lovely floral image to create a card with more texture. The 3d Ladybug Picnic embossing folder & the fun Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes adds whimsy and I used the frame from the Phrases & Frames dies created with the new Impression plate for an elegant look.

Start with a Hydrangea Hue cardstock card base. Cut a Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock panel. Dry emboss the Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock panel with the Ladybug Picnic 3d embossing folder. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the embossed panel to the card base. Use a Stampin’ Positioner to stamp the background Flowers Fair stamp on Basic White cardstock in Memento Black ink for a crisp image. Color the stamped image with Stampin’ Blends. Cut out the piece of the panel that will fit inside of the frame. Add Wink of Stella to the flower petals for sparkle.

Create the Hydrangea Hue cardstock frame by die cutting the frame with the Phrases & Frames dies like you would normally but keep the frame inside the die. Then emboss the frame by building the sandwich with the die (cardstock still inside) sharp edge up with the Impressions plate on top of it. Then use glue dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals to add the floral panel & frame to the embossed layer slightly angled. I added more sparkle to the small flower centers with the Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer brush.

Stamp the sentiment from the Sunshine Vibes stamp set in Hydrangea Hue ink on Basic White cardstock and closely fussy cut the sentiment out. Tie a small bow with the Crisp Cantaloupe Bordered ribbon and add it to the card front with glue dots to the left side of the panel & frame. Add the sentiment over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add Pearlized Faceted Circles around the sentiment panel. I also added a ladybug from the Ladybug Garden Epoxy Shapes on a flower.

Add a Basic White cardstock inside panel to write your message. Stamp the sentiment from the Last Chance Sunshine Vibes stamp set in Hydrangea Hue ink on the inside panel. Add a strip of embossed Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock to the bottom of the inside panel and back of the card to pull the theme through.

I hope you enjoyed my Flowers Fair Ladybug card. You can order the Flowers Fair stamp set, the retiring Last Chance Sunshine Vibes stamp set, Ladybug Picnic 3D embossing folder, and the Phrases & Frames dies in my Online Store.
